April for Washington (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is the official campaign committee for April Connors’s candidacy for State Representative in Washington’s 8th Legislative District, Position 2. We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website, donates to our campaign, or engages with our communications.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here. We may update this Policy periodically — the date above reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the site after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Voluntarily
When you fill out a form, sign up for updates, make a donation, volunteer, or otherwise engage with us directly, you may provide:
- Name, email address, postal address, phone number, and/or mobile number
- Employer name, occupation, and ZIP code (required for certain campaign finance disclosures)
- Payment information when making a contribution (processed securely by our donation platform — see Donations & Financial Information below)
- Any messages, endorsements, or other content you submit through our forms
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our site, certain information is collected automatically through your browser and third-party services we use, including:
- IP address and general geographic location
- Browser type, operating system, and device information
- Pages visited, time spent on the site, and referring URLs
- Interaction data such as clicks and scroll behavior (used in aggregate, anonymous form)
This site loads typography from Google Fonts, and Google may receive your IP address and browser information as part of delivering font files to your browser.
This site is delivered through Cloudflare, a content delivery network. Cloudflare processes the request data necessary to route traffic, defend against malicious activity, and serve cached content efficiently. Cloudflare’s data practices are governed by its own privacy policy.
Information from Form Submissions
Forms on this site (endorsement, volunteer, and contact forms) are processed through Formspree (formspree.io). When you submit a form, the contents of the form along with your IP address and the time of submission are transmitted to Formspree, which forwards them to us by email and/or stores them on our behalf. Formspree’s privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
Information from SMS Interactions
If you opt into our mobile messaging program, we may collect your cell phone number, your carrier’s name, and the date, time, and content of messages you send to us. See Mobile Messaging & SMS below for full details.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Send you campaign updates, newsletters, event invitations, and volunteer opportunities you’ve requested
- Process donations and comply with campaign finance reporting requirements
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Improve the website and understand how visitors use it
- Send text messages if you’ve opted into our SMS program
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information with service providers, campaign vendors, compliance professionals, donation processors, email/SMS platforms, analytics providers, and other entities where necessary to operate the campaign, comply with law, process contributions, communicate with supporters, or otherwise support campaign activity described in this Policy. SMS opt-in data and consent information will not be sold or shared for third-party marketing purposes.
We generally do not share supporter contact information (such as email lists) with outside political organizations, party committees, or allied campaigns. In limited circumstances where such sharing serves the campaign’s purposes (for example, joint events, coalition activity, or required legal disclosure), any sharing will be consistent with this Policy. We may share information as required by law, including campaign finance disclosure obligations under Washington State election law. Donor information submitted through our contribution pages is subject to public disclosure requirements applicable to political campaigns.
Mobile Messaging & SMS
The following terms govern our Mobile Messaging Program. This language is required by SMS service providers and must appear as written.
Mobile Messaging Program Consent
By signing up for our Mobile Messaging Program, you consent to receive the following types of text messages from April for Washington:
- Polling/Voting Text Messages: Such as election reminders and opinion polls.
- Public Service Announcement Text Messages: Including legislative updates, member updates, and voter education.
Opt-In Methods
- Completing a sign-up form on our website and checking the text message consent box.
- Providing explicit consent in any other manner as indicated by April for Washington.
Message Terms
- Messages may be sent using an autodialer or similar technology.
- Message frequency may vary depending on your interaction with the Program.
- Standard message and data rates may apply.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
STOP Command
To stop receiving messages, text STOP at any time. You will receive a confirmation text confirming you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive messages from the Program unless you opt back in.
HELP Command
For help, text HELP or contact us at hello@aprilforwashington.com. You will receive instructions on how to use the service.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Donations & Financial Information
Online contributions to April for Washington are processed through eFundraising Connections (efundraisingconnections.com), a third-party payment processing platform serving political campaigns. We do not store your full credit card or banking information on our servers — payment processing is handled entirely by eFundraising Connections, which maintains its own security standards and privacy policy.
By making a contribution through our donation page, you are also subject to eFundraising Connections’ terms of service and privacy policy. You must be 18 years of age or older to make a contribution. Processing fees may apply and are subject to change at eFundraising Connections’ discretion. All transactions are final and non-refundable except as required by law.
Washington State campaign finance law requires us to collect and publicly disclose certain donor information — including name, mailing address, employer, and occupation — for contributions above applicable reporting thresholds. By making a contribution, you acknowledge that this information may appear in public campaign finance filings with the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission (PDC).
If you provide your email during the donation process, we may send you campaign-related communications. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of any email. We send emails through Mailchimp. SMS opt-in data is never shared with third parties.
Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies — small files stored in your browser — to improve your experience and understand how visitors use our site. Cookies help us remember your preferences and analyze traffic patterns.
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymized data about site usage, including pages visited and time on site. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. The information is used solely to improve the campaign website and our outreach efforts.
You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block, delete, or receive warnings about cookies. Disabling cookies may limit some functionality of the site. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking across sites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Email Communications
If you sign up to receive email updates, we will send you newsletters, event invitations, fundraising appeals, and volunteer opportunities. We send these emails through Mailchimp, which receives and stores your email address and engagement data (such as opens and clicks) in order to deliver and report on the messages.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. Unsubscribe requests are processed immediately. We do not share or rent email subscriber lists with outside political organizations or with any third party for commercial or marketing purposes. Email data is processed through Mailchimp as described in How We Use Your Information above.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate this website and campaign, including:
- Mailchimp — email marketing and newsletter delivery
- Google Analytics (GA4) — anonymized website traffic analysis
- Google Fonts — web font delivery
- Formspree — form submission processing (endorsement, volunteer, and contact forms)
- eFundraising Connections — online donation processing
- Cloudflare — content delivery network and traffic security
Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you have questions about how they handle data. We do not authorize these services to use your information for their own marketing purposes.
Embedded Content
Pages on this site may include embedded content such as videos, social media posts, or images hosted by third parties — for example, news article previews that link to coverage on outside publications, or images served from the Washington State House Republicans’ official media library. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the originating website directly — those sites may set their own cookies, collect data about you, and track your interactions with the embedded content.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including SSL/TLS encryption for data transmitted through this site. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use caution when sharing sensitive information online.
Your Rights & Opt-Out
You have the right to:
- Unsubscribe from email communications at any time via the link in any email we send
- Opt out of SMS messages by texting STOP to any message we send
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you

Children
This website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@aprilforwashington.com and we will promptly remove it.
